Prepare These 5 Builds For Elden Ring Shadow Of The Erdtree DLC

Since it was announced that Elden Ring Shadow of The Erdtree DLC will be released on June 21st, most players have been gearing up for it. Although we, as outsiders, don’t know some aspects of DLC that players want to enjoy, we know that you want to enter DLC with the best build to survive longer.

This is where the fun of experiencing the new expansion comes in. Since its release, Elden Ring has launched a series of updates that effectively added many strategies, skills, and more Elden Ring items. There are currently a lot of good builds in the game, and although we don’t know if those strong builds will be weakened in the upcoming DLC, it is still one of the most powerful strategies in the game at present.

Before entering Elden Ring Shadow of The Erdtree DLC, you can follow this guide to prepare your build.

  1. Thunder and Lightning Faith Build
  • Primary Attribute: Faith
  • Secondary Attributes: Strength, Vitality (optional)
  • Required Equipment: Gravel Stone Seal, Lightning Scorpion Charm, Godfrey Icon, Flock’s Canvas Talisman, Lightning-Shrouding Cracked Tear, and Faith-Knot Crystal Tear

Because few enemies in Elden Ring are significantly resistant to Lightning spells, especially bosses, Lightning builds are relatively invincible in the game. While this build may change somewhat in Shadow of the Erdtree, it will still provide a strong start to your DLC journey.

The key aspect here is to improve your Faith as much as possible, at least to 70 and above, and obtain enough Elden Ring items for sale that can further enhance your Lightning and Faith damage. Here, those items are mostly Gravel Stone Seal, Lightning Scorpion Charm, Godfrey Icon, Flock’s Canvas Talisman, Lightning Shrouding Cracked Tear, and Faith-Knot Crystal Tear.

When these items are combined with the appropriate attributes, they ensure that you can maximize the damage of your Lightning incantations. Incantations in question are Lightning Spear, Ancient Dragons’ Lightning Strike, and Fortissax’s Lightning Spear. Not only are they powerful abilities on their own, but they also give you a brilliant combination of area, single target, and AOE spell damage that you can adapt to a variety of situations.

Because these abilities are so powerful, they allow you a great deal of flexibility in the rest of your build. However, you can’t go wrong with Strength and Vigor as your Secondary Attributes, which both fits the theme and does a ton of pure Strength damage between Lightning strikes.

  1. Gargoyle’s Twinblades Bleed Build
  • Primary Attribute: Strength
  • Secondary Attributes: Vigor, Faith
  • Required Equipment: Gargoyle’s Twinblade (x2), Cragblade Ash of War, Millicent’s Prosthesis, Rotten Winged Sword Insignia, Claw Talisman, Thorny Cracked Tear, Raptor Black Feathers

Bleed builds have been popular and powerful for a while among Elden Ring players because, like Lightning, not many enemies can properly resist Bleed damage, and Status Effects can quickly drain enemy health bars. While some powerful enemies are immune to Bleed effects, the best Bleed builds usually deal so much raw damage that their resistance is irrelevant.

For many years, both in Elden Ring and the several patches that followed, the focus of public opinion has often been on which Bleed build is the best to use. Rivers of Blood is also a popular “star” among Bleed builds. If you like this weapon and enjoy using it, then this is the one for you as of today.

While Rivers of Blood are good, the best overall Bleed build currently revolves around the dual-wielding Gargoyle’s Twinblade. This means you need to enter New Game+, obtain two of these statues by defeating Valiant Gargoyle boss twice, or obtain one from a visiting player.

Once you have these weapons, you then need to infuse them with the Cragblade Blade Ash of War. This not only gives them the necessary Bleed effect but also effectively increases their raw damage output, which can be amazing with just these parts alone.

The rest of this build is designed primarily to boost jumping attacks and raw Strength. You’ll want to use Golden Vow and Flame Grant Me Strength, and use your flask to maximize your damage buffs before a fight. Again, even if you’re fighting an enemy that’s immune to Bleed effect, this sheer power will do more damage than many of the top builds in the game.

  1. Night Comet Sorcery Build
  • Primary Attribute: Intelligence
  • Secondary Attributes: Vigor, Endurance/Mind
  • Required Equipment: Staff of Loss (x2), Magic Scorpion Charm, Graven Mass Talisman, Godfrey Icon, Magic-Shrouding Cracked Tear, Cerulean Hiden Tear

Technically, there are a lot of Sorcery caster builds available to players in Elden Ring, allowing you to explore the game’s vast Arcane arts. But in reality, there’s only Night Comet and none of the others. That said, Night Comet is pretty unique.

The game defines Night Comet as a semi-invisible spell, which may not sound very meaningful, but in reality, enemies rarely dodge this spell because they can’t easily detect it. On top of that, Night Comet can be sent remotely or charged up to produce more powerful spells, which can open up most world battles.

Technically, Night Comet’s spells are not as powerful as other spells in the game. However, you can strike a balance with several equipment and buffs introduced below, which can greatly enhance the power of these individual spells and charged shots.

The basic strategy is very simple. Just raise your Intelligence to above 80, preferably above 90 points, and equip two Staffs of Loss upgraded to 25. These weapons each increase the damage of Invisibility sorceries by 30%, but we won’t go for 30%.

Before the crucial battle, you also need to use your Flask as much as possible, and cast Golden Shroud and Howl of Shabiri to get their damage buffs. Terra Magika also works incredibly well when you stand in effect on this weapon to fire a powerful charge shot. Even without this fixed setup, the various other buffs you’ll get from spells and Elden Ring runes will allow you to send smaller Night Comet shots that are roughly 100% more powerful than they would otherwise be!

Unless Elden Ring dev team nerfs Staff of Loss before Shadow of the Erdtree’s official release, this build is one of those amazing ways to deal consistent damage from a safe distance in almost any situation. If you’re well prepared and have the best stats and skills, you can kill with one shot, and still be relatively mobile and at a relatively long safe distance.

  1. Darkmoon Greatsword Build
  • Primary Attribute: Intelligence
  • Secondary Attributes: Vigor, Mind
  • Required Equipment: Darkmoon Greatsword, Carian Regal Scepter, Spellblade Armor, Shard of Alexander, Godfrey Icon, Magic Scorpion Charm, Magic-Shrouding Cracked Tear

When Elden Ring was released, Dark Moon Greatsword was considered by players to be an interesting weapon that was probably not worth the effort to obtain. However, starting on June 21st, a lot will change.

The core of Darkmoon Greatsword is mainly its weapon skill, which essentially transforms it into legendary Moonlight Greatsword. Moonlight Greatsword skill allows you to release magical projectiles that can cause damage, and both Moonlight Greatsword and the base Greatsword can quickly build up a Frost effect. This Frost effect functions similarly to Bleed, but it has the additional effect of reducing damage resistance and stamina repair.

If used correctly, the combination of these attributes can allow you to achieve a unique and powerful play style. This build can be used as a sorcerer in certain situations, using its powerful melee capabilities to overpower foes, but you can deal horrible damage with your Moonlight Greatsword skill, and also make sure you always have a healthy amount of Frost stacked up.

When you use the right incantations and items for proper enhancement, such as your Flask, Golden Vow, etc., you can open up more fights with Darkmoon. Unleashing projectiles from Moonlight Greatsword can either knock out an enemy or drain a large portion of their health. This is because Moonlight Greatsword’s ability, Darkmoon, has a high degree of synergy between them.

If you can release an enhanced Moonlight Greatsword projectile within the effect area of Terra Magicka, you will clear everything in your path. Even if you can’t move and shoot the synergy between the high-damage abilities of this build will allow you to end the fight easily.

  1. Star Fist Melee Build
  • Primary Attribute: Strength
  • Secondary Attributes: Vigor, Faith/Endurance
  • Required Equipment: Star Fist, Ritual Sword Talisman, Axe Talisman, Rotten Winged Insignia, Millicent’s Prosthesis, Strength-Knot Tear, Stonebarb Cracked Tear, Cragblade Ash of War

If you often overlook Elden Ring’s fist weapons, you’re not the first. They seem like gimmicks, and they’re dangerous because they’re melee weapons. However, some Elden Ring players will find that the Star Fist is perhaps one of the most powerful weapons in the game.

On the surface, there’s nothing special about Star Fist. It’s precisely because it doesn’t rely on many tricks, techniques, or possible loopholes that it can perform incredibly well with just Strength, causing a lot of bleed damage, and can be used to launch a series of rapid attacks or high-intensity power strikes.

Some players may wonder, some enemies are very powerful, can this build guarantee their own safety? Don’t worry, no enemy in the game can really cause a much impact on this pure power weapon. Because Star Fist usually deals with physical damage, and with fast strikes and hundreds of points of damage, few enemies can withstand it.

It sounds simple, right? This is also one advantage of Star Fist – it is easy to use. After obtaining Star Fist, infuse it with Crag Blade Ash of War. You can enhance your Strength and get your Talismans. Before the battle, like those builds, you also need to use Flask, Golden Vow, and Howl of Shabiri as much as possible to enhance yourself.

As its name suggests, this is a melee weapon, and you can only play the greatest effect when you are close to the enemy. This also means putting yourself behind danger, but you don’t have to worry too much. Everything in Star Fist build is effective against every enemy in the game, no matter what type.

After learning about several builds, are you more looking forward to the Elden Ring Shadow of The Erdtree DLC officially released on June 21? We also hope that all players can have fun playing in the new expansion!
