Worldwide kicks off its Auburn season with The Enthusiast Auction, headlined by an iconic 1936 Delahaye 135M Competition Court Cabriolet and striking 1934 Cadillac 355D Eight Stationary Coupe

Auburn, Indiana. Collectors can look forward to an exciting lineup of pre- and post-war classics, sports, and select muscle and custom cars this spring in Indiana, as Worldwide kicks off its Auburn season with the Enthusiast Auction in April. Included in this year’s offering is a striking and well-known 1934 Cadillac 355D Eight Stationary Coupe, the sole example on Cadillac’s impressive 146-inch wheelbase, formerly exhibited at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Also slated for the spring sale is a well-documented 1936 Delahaye 135M Competition Court Cabriolet, the 3rd of just 6 Competition Court Type 135s bodied by Figoni et Falaschi in 1936, with known ownership from new, handsomely modified to a Cabriolet in 1948. Sports car enthusiasts will appreciate an exceptionally restored

1963 Chevrolet Corvette ‘Split-Window’ Coupe with desirable 340 horsepower engine, offered in outstanding color combination, another noteworthy car set to go under the hammer. The Enthusiast Auction is scheduled for April 28-29 at Worldwide’s expansive Auburn, Indiana headquarters. The event will also welcome aficionados back for The Enthusiast Tour, an annual one-of-a-kind, three-day classic car tour tailored to the Midwest, that includes private tours of invitation-only (and usually inaccessible) car collections and unique Indiana attractions, before rolling right back into Auburn for the Enthusiast Auction itself.

‘This is a chance to blow off the winter cobwebs and do what we all love best; get out there on the road and enjoy our cars, the Indiana countryside and some very special local automotive and historic venues, in the company of other classic enthusiasts,’ said John Kruse, Principal and Auctioneer. ‘We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone back to Auburn this spring, to experience another great selection of motorcars in America’s favorite auction destination.’

European sportscars in this year’s sale include an impeccably documented and unrestored 1949 Jaguar XK120 Alloy Roadster, a verified numbers-matching example, being 1 of only 240 aluminum-bodied Roadsters conceived, and a rare 1968 Porsche 912 Soft-Window Targa, selling without reserve and 1 of just 2,562 912 Targas built. Representing the apex of automobile excellence in the custom world is the multiple award-winning 1956 Chevrolet 210 Coupe ‘Shades of Love’, a Great 8 Ridler Award Finalist at the Detroit Autorama and two-time International Show Car Association (ISCA) Grand Champion. Important pre-war cars selling in Auburn include a very desirable 1931 Cadillac Series 452 V-16 Roadster with stunning looks, V-16 performance and known history, including multiple prolific V-16 collectors, and a singular 1937 Packard Twelve Model 1507 2/4-Passenger Coupe, again with known history from new, 1 of only 42 believed to have been built in 1937. The Enthusiast Auction will also offer hundreds of lots of fresh-to-market memorabilia, including gas pumps, toys, automobilia, neons, signs, and more.

The Enthusiast Auction runs from April 28-29 at Worldwide’s Auburn, Indiana headquarters, with preview days from April 26, staged as a live event with online and telephone bidding options also available to qualified pre-registered bidders. Quality consignments are still invited.
